Working in Intelligence and Remediation
SOP manual for the current intelligence and remediation surfaces covering privacy monitoring, compliance scoring, enforcement risk, remediation programs, and reports.
Working in Intelligence and Remediation
This page shows how to use the current intelligence, monitoring, and remediation routes in VerityLaw. These routes are mostly review and oversight surfaces. They are useful for seeing risk and progress, but they do not expose every launch or automation action that the wider product vision might suggest.
Product: VerityLaw
Module: Intelligence and Remediation
Role: Compliance lead, operations lead, risk reviewer, remediation owner
Difficulty: Intermediate
Time: 10 to 12 minutes
Last Updated: 2026-03-10
Version: Current repo baseline
Before You Start
- Sign in to the internal VerityLaw dashboard.
- Know whether you are checking privacy intelligence, governance intelligence, or reporting.
- Be ready to work from existing snapshots, events, and programs.
What does this module cover?
The current intelligence area is spread across three sidebar locations:
- Privacy Intelligence
- Governance Intelligence
- Reports
Together, these routes help you monitor detected events, automation runs, exposure scores, risk scores, remediation progress, and reporting summaries.
When do you use this?
Use these routes when you need to monitor risk, confirm whether a remediation program exists, review exposure trends, or get a current reporting snapshot. Use them before you escalate a high-risk event or report a control issue to management.
Where do you find it?
Primary path: Dashboard -> left sidebar -> Intelligence and Reports
Current routes:
/dashboard/privacy/sentinel/dashboard/privacy/dsr-factory/dashboard/privacy/campaigns/dashboard/compliance-twin/dashboard/enforcement-risk/dashboard/remediation/dashboard/reports
How do you work in these areas?
Watch privacy events
- Open Privacy Sentinel.
- Review Total Events, High Risk, Cases Opened, and Suppressed.
- In the events table, check Event Type, Source, Risk, Case Opened, Suppressed, and Detected date.
- Use high-risk rows as the fastest way to focus your attention.
This page is a monitoring board. It does not expose a case-opening workflow from the route itself.
Review automated DSR runs
- Open DSR Factory.
- Review totals for Searching, In Review, and Released.
- Check whether Identity Verified is complete before treating a run as safely releasable.
- Use the Released and Started dates to judge whether automation is moving.
The current route is a run register. It does not expose a visible release or override action on the page.
Track policy campaigns
- Open Policy Campaigns.
- Review campaign counts, completion rate, and overdue totals.
- In the table, use the progress bar and overdue count to find weak campaign performance quickly.
- Confirm the campaign Status before telling the business that acknowledgements are complete.
Review compliance intelligence
- Open Compliance Twin.
- Check the Overall Exposure Score, Last Snapshot, and Trend Points.
- Review any Business Unit Scores shown on the page.
- Read the Exposure Trend table to see whether risk is improving or worsening over time.
The current trend view is table-based. The page does not show a chart or a visible snapshot-generation action.
Review enforcement risk
- Open Enforcement Risk.
- Review the counts for Low, Medium, High, and Critical risk.
- Check each row for Entity, Process, Score, Risk Band, Model, and Scored date.
- Use the average score and high-risk counts to judge escalation priority.
Review remediation programs
- Open Remediation Programs.
- Review totals for Planning, Active, Completed, and Frozen.
- In the table, check Source Type, Source Ref, Progress, Status, and Created date.
- Use the progress bar to see whether a program is moving.
This page is a program tracker. The current UI does not expose create, freeze, or task-edit controls from the route.
Use reports
- Open Reports.
- Review the privacy and compliance summary cards.
- Use Recent Impact Assessments for a quick status view of recent assessment work.
- Treat this route as an overview page, not a full reporting studio.
What if something does not look right?
"There is no data on the page"
What it means: These routes only show records that already exist in the current environment.
What to do: Confirm the relevant process has actually run before assuming the route is broken.
"I expected to launch an action from this screen"
What it means: Many of these pages are intelligence dashboards, not authoring tools.
What to do: Use the screen for monitoring and evidence, then follow the operational process that owns the underlying work.
"The trend area looks thinner than I expected"
What it means: Some trend and chart surfaces are currently table-first or placeholder-light.
What to do: Use the live numbers and tables rather than waiting for richer visualization.
